GrowMate

Terms of Service

Last updated: 8 September 2026

GrowMate is a personal, small-scale project, not a commercial product with a legal department behind it. These terms are deliberately short and in plain language.

Not medical advice

GrowMate suggests training plans, exercises and progressions based on what you enter yourself. This is not medical, physiotherapy, or professional health advice of any kind. It is not a substitute for a doctor, physiotherapist, or other qualified professional. If you have an injury, a medical condition, or any doubt about whether an exercise or training plan is safe for you, talk to a doctor or physiotherapist before following it. You train at your own risk.

What you can expect from GrowMate

No warranties

GrowMate is provided "as is", without any warranty that it is error-free or always available. It is maintained on a best-effort basis, but this is not a service with a service-level agreement.

Your account

Content you add

Anything you type or upload (workouts, notes, photos, group posts) is yours. You're responsible for what you post to shared spaces like groups, keep it something you'd be fine with the people in that group seeing.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated as the app grows. The date at the top of this page shows when that last happened.

How old you have to be

You need to be sixteen or older to have a GrowMate account. Younger? Then set it up together with a parent or guardian.

What we are liable for

GrowMate is free, made by one person, and offered as a favour rather than as a product with a support department. To the extent the law allows: we are not liable for damage that follows from using the app, from training, from an injury, or from data that is lost through a fault, an outage, or your own device. What the law does not allow us to exclude , damage from intent or gross negligence on our side , we of course remain liable for.

Which law applies

Dutch law applies to these terms and to your use of GrowMate. If we cannot work something out together, the dispute goes to the competent court in the Netherlands. As a consumer you keep the rights that Dutch and European consumer law give you, whatever these terms say.
